A little sketchbook of Houdini experiments. Hair grooms have been interesting to me, and the ones shown here I wanted to focus on getting very specific, intentional looks in the groom process. The hair braid was interesting, as the braids are long strands and not "faked". In retrospect faking the braid by separating them into more groups might've looked better but this was still fun to do. Rendered with RenderMan. The dog hair sim was done over the weekend for National Dog Day.
While working on a job at work I developed a procedural vacuum seal/shrink wrap tool. Models in those tests are from Quixel Megascans.
